If you worked as a servant, would you be embarrassed?

You might be surprised how much those "servants" make and the perks they get with the job.

One couple I know of makes $90k a year, live in a separate very nice house on the property, all bills paid, get to travel all expenses paid, health care paid, and they have more time off than I do. What do they do? Clean the house, do the laundry, take care of the yard, take care of the kids, answer the phone, answer the door, take the cars to the mechanics, shop, cook, wash dishes, make sure things get done around the house. Hmmm..... I do that on top of working a full time job.

Not exactly. They are called domestic employees. They are still servants. They just aren't slaves.

I know if I could afford it, I'd have domestic employees.

it's an ignorant troll that thinks concierge was anything but probably the most desired psoition in the front office. 5 star isnt the same as "servants". Just ignorance, really causes someone to say "I'd be embarrassed to tell my kids that". Like you've ever even been with a woman once, let alone even concieve of the responsibility of actually having a kid for a day. See, that's the difference between you and me mr piece of shit guttertrash. I've worked to raise three kids, and had a faithful monogamous marriage to a wonderful woman I love deeply that's still there for me, despite the fact that you took my job away becauase you couldnt handle a simple troll board.

I enjoyed it, and enjoyed the perks. I'll miss the job a lot.

Would you be willing to be one?
Pay me $90k a year, provide me a nice house all bills paid, travel all bills paid, paid vacations and health care to do what I do now, without compensation after working a full time job - I'd switch careers in a heartbeat. Honest work for honest money - I'd do the job well and be proud of the job I do.

That is a fact too. A good concierge makes excellent money and has a great job. If I were good at making customers happy, I'd do that job.

It sounds like it'd be a good job, too.

Are you saying that "Alex" was the one who made the call? Because that's a pretty serious accusation to make.

What are you going to do about it?

Why wouldn't you? We all "serve" someone if we work for someone else. JMO but I think you should be proud of any job you do...

I loved my job. I was the best at it, in the history of the hotel. More positive comments about me than any other single worker, period. I was the only person in the hotel to ace the Mobil 4 star standards for 4 inspections over 2 years. Employee of the month two different months over the period. Guests loved me.
