My friend had this on his wall. I called him out for it.

"Liberal demand gun control after every shooting, but never border control after every rape and murder by illegals."

I said:

That is becuase rape doesn't just happen by illegals-and look at the response women get anyway after reporting assualt-A wall is not going to make me safer, I will still be careful and mindful of who I am with, where I am and even though it shouldn't matter-what I am wearing or how much I choose to drink. (I don't drink at all now, but when I did I was mindful of it for this very reason). Rape victims get blamed for these things, gun victims-not so much.

AND THEN A WOMEN SAYS THIS:
"One of the reasons women carry guns"

I guess that is true.
So women who carry guns don't get raped.
I read that as "Blame the rape victim for not carrying a gun."
FUck.

I know that is not how I should read that-but why shouldn't I?

Oh and apparently Republicans were saying 13 and 14 year olds were mature enough to date Roy Moore, but 17 and 18 year olds are not old enough to have opinions about gun control. (Re the Parkland kids who have opinions on gun control)
