Okay, the three preview clips, here don't look that cool.

But then I found this trailer:

Which KICKS ASS.

If only for scenes like:

Summer Glau (SUMMER GLAU!!!!) saying "Come with me if you want to live"

and a naked or at least topless or at least scantily clad Summer Glau removing bullets from herself (because she's a terminator)

Plus the effects, by Zoic of Firefly, Serenity and BSG fame, look awesome too.

But it still horribly contradicts canon.
 
It's a tv spin-off from a movie. They don't have to stick to canon. NOT IN MY BOOK.

Also, in my mind, Matrix is a sequel to Terminator
 
I just wonder how he reached that conclusion about Summer Glau.
 
Summer Glau could wipe the floor with SMG because SMG doesn't do the majority of her own fight work.
 
And SMG has a turkey neck.
 
It looks cool in a sort of guilty bespeckled geek kinda way. (I have no problem with that.)

Although it does look lame at the same time to be honest. But still cool. But lame.

It's lame cool.

Summer Glau is the only reason I am even slightly interested in this series since ignoring canon to such a blatant degree annoys me greatly.


Have to wait for the pilot.
 
Also, I called this during Firefly's run and I will say it again now.


Summer will be a top draw in Hollywood in a few years.
 
As long as they have a "Cameron [Summer's charater] gets shot so she has to take off her shirt to remove the bullets" scene every episode I'm in.
 
Didn't every Terminator movie violate the previous one's canon?

They made a series of westworld, where killer robots persued the heros relentlessly.

It was cancelled after six episodes with only 4 of them shown in the US.

Still that was 27 years ago, I'm sure now there'll be a lot more interest in a show based on a film where all the characters have been recast, where the two leads cant possibly be killed and where the most recognisable star in the show is an actress whos series was cancelled and whose film dramatically underacheived in box office.
 
Memories of the short lived Blade series comes to mind.

Still, I'm a big Terminator fan so I am interested to see where they go with it. It shouldn't take long to assess the writing quality from a few episodes in.
 
I dont think I will be able to bring myself to watch Blade the series, I never even saw the 3rd film, still trying to get over the dissapointment of the 2nd.
 
Why is Summer Glau so hot anyway? What's she trying to prove?
 
I dont know, but her whole "I am never going to smile" thing is creating another army of stone faced emo kids.
