Sure they did. They had a choice of method. Weren't you just saying you wanted to die young? Screw health and all that?

Get diabetes by your mid 20s and have to jab yourself with needles in your stomach a few times a day?

Live hard! Suffer early.
 
It was ok, my head hurts from breathing all the wood smoke and there were at least 30 very bratty (but cute) kids there. Why do parents let their children run wild around a camp fire?
 
The parents were idiots. If I had acted teh way some of those kids acted, when I was a kid, I'd have been beaten severely.
