They are risking their lucrative careers, fame, and even their lives in order to say what they believe. Troll all you want, but that's impressive among todays entertainers.
 
They already have enough money to last them five lifetimes (unless they blew it all, which would be pretty dumb), they complain about not having any privacy so losing fame shouldn't be such a big deal, and as far as risking their lives? PLEASE. Lots of famous people get death threats. None are killed. It's part of the whole "fame" thing you said they're risking.
 
Oh yeah, and Natalie Maines is a big oink oink fatteh porker, and Emily Robeson has been through almost as many husbands as Liz Taylor!
