I'm so old

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
LOL the Bono thread reminded me that I'm so old, I'm pretty sure I had U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" on 45, and played it on a mono turntable (used for book 'n records) whilst recording it on a blank cassette tape, all the better to hear my little brother making noise in the background.

OLD!

SHUT IT! Santa brought me the Barry Manilow song "Mandy" on 45 for Christmas when I was 5!

You ain't but 2 year old'rn me, youngin.

I had "come on Eileen" on 45, didn't buy it though, a kid at school gave it to me, he transferred from another school quite late, I think he may have been trying to buy my friendship, worked though

My first 8-track was Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

I remember 8-tracks from when I was like 5 or 6. My parents had 'em, but they were obsolete by the time I was around 10 yrs old.

I remember my dad had a big reel-to-reel machine too, it was so you could record LP's and play them back without a turntable.

I REMEMBER WHEN UNCLE UG BROUGHT ME MY FIRST MAMMOTH TUSK.

Yo' Momma so old, she fell off'n her dy-nee-sore, and done broke her newspaper!

My grandma's 4th husband had lots of 8 tracks, THE BASTARD.

OMG, CASSIE'S GRAMMA IS LIZ TAYLOR!!!

Can she hook me up with some perfume?

If you like poop she can.

I think the first 45 that I bought myself was Andy Gibb's "I Just Want to Be Your Everything".

The first album was Barry Manilow Live.

(Not counting things like the Sesame Street album or this really cool audio version of the origin of Spider-Man, where Tommy Chong was in the cast)

Now I'll have Andy Gibbs singing in my head all day, lol.

Better him than Barry. ;)

Or the Partridge Family.

I woke up in love this morning
I woke up in love this morning
Went to bed with you
On my mind

^SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS. MAKE IT STOP.

Speaking of back in the days of the dinosaurs, I see one of the Monkees wives' is busted for rent fraud in NYC!

trying to remember what the first LP I ever bought was. if some motherfucker (die, DIE in a fire, scum!) hadnt stolen my entire collection some years ago, I could prolly look through it and figure it out.
