I'm not surprised. Specs would qualify to be on their "favorites" ("A") list. And I am sure deliberation wasn't all that "great". I have a suspicious feeling that this decision was already made in advance, and they only dragged it out to make it look like they were working hard to find the right person for the job. Perhaps I am getting old, but I'm starting to care less and less these days.
 
I offered at least half a dozen better suggestions that Specs.

Enkephalen, Niki Blue, and several others who have shown impartiality. Hell, I even threw you in there A karas. Why Specs? She isn't qualified, IMO. She isn't impartial, and isn't going to stick up for someone when they are being bashed in secret if she doesn't like them.

Lets remember that she set up a secret board for the purpose of bashing us because of what "we were doing to EI". Someone should bring that up again.
 
She's not going to complain about anything. Instead of a pitbull, they wanted a chihuahua with a muzzle. They know Nikki Blue, Enkephalen, and even myself would bark if something fishy or rotten was up.

I wonder how long it will take for a staff member to jump in and dispute this?
 
They'll probably just ban me straight up this time, for any small infraction. I'm up for a three monther, and that would make me shut up for a good chunk of her term. If they just don't perma me.

They are on crack. That's the only explanation for this.

They must have given you some great pain medication or something to have come to the conclusion that Specs would be a good watchdog.

Seriously. How can you make the leap from "personal attacks" to "a good WD candidate"?

No, I'm right. Right. Right. It's been awefully quiet over there, and Specs has been maintaining a low profile. Also, I truly believe that the staff delayed their announcement because if they made it sooner, it would have been obvious that they had already some one in mind. Just another stunt at EI.
