Iron Man

Gonad

DON'T FUCK WITH MY TITLE BITCH
I just watched it last night. Enjoyable movie, good script. Directing so-so. Just about everything you've heard is true, except that I hadn't heard much of anything so I have no idea what you've heard.

I really enjoyed the one scene where the bad guys are running and shut the metal doors behind them and then stop and turn and wait and watch in terror as Iron Man starts pounding against the door, breaking it down. It was like the standard horror movie/action movie scene, but with the good guy and bad guy roles reversed. Cute.

I don't see why they couldn't just use David Hasslehoff again.

--And yes, I saw it.

I hope he doesn't cease his womanizing ways; it would be great if she were his girlfriend and he still brought home all sorts of girls and she was okay with it because she "knows how he is."

Interesting, especially if they threw in some moral crap into the mix, like safe sex. That way he's really tanked one night and fucks around with a hooker and obviously forgets to use a condom and obviously gets AIDS.

Imagine the irony, the metal encased hero who seems fully protected destroyed by not protecting the most important part of all.

Finish the movie off with Captain America giving a big ass boring speech about freedom and the American way and how Iron Man is just a man all that sort of shit.

Robert Downey Jr. Chewed the scenery every time he was on camera. If they would've went with a lesser actor the movie could've very well sucked.

The only thing I remember about Iron Man is that he was a character among others (I remember a woman and an archer) in a game I used to play at an arcade, a handful of years ago.

I find comic book heroes to be very one dimensional. No matter how good the transition to the big screen will be, there will be limitations.

Just saw it today.

LOVED IT! I'm so proud of Robert Downey Jr. overcoming his past, and doing a magnificent job in this movie! I totally bought him as Tony Stark, and can't wait til the sequel.

I'm pissed at myself for missing the end scene with Sam Jackson, tho. :rwmad:

we're going to see it today...intriguing notion having RD jr in this...it's a real departure for him and people seem to either love it or hate it.

'k, on the team that quite enjoyed it...lotsa fun. LOVE those cars!

Downey Jr was HAWT! - and well-served in that role - balanced the playboy with the nerd very well.

And thanks, my compatriot RW for the heads up re Samuel L Jackson's cameo as Nick Fury - made everyone stay for it and was glad I did. :D

YEEEHAA!!1 Did you see him kill those [STRIKE]brown people[/STRIKE] freedom-hating terrorists who were cr-a-zy and all a-jittery like, just like in Hollywood? POW POW POW!! Next item on the agenda: build Dubya that suit! And I won't take "it's just a movie" for an answer this time! (Mission To Mars wasn't too bad; it had the American flag in it)
