I can't believe y'all are still here typin out little messages in this cute littlle forum and not just talkin to each other through tik tok. That is what ll the kidsa are doin nowadays. Is anyone even doin Christmas anymore?

Yeah, I don't do that Tic-Tac thing. Business as usual for me, but of course will be opening pressies and having a big dinner tomorrow. Tonight it's Overwatch and Anime like usual.

I did Food shopping and watched football with my brother Ed at a cigar shop/lounge tonight.Tomorrow it's Christmas lunch at the City Mission with Ed then come home and watch some more Christmas movies and TV shows before Christmas ends.

We've had an extended celebration since Wednesday. We went to a singing Messiah at the church on Thursday night. Lots of cookies and champagne after. Friday we went shopping for our family dinner which will be Monday night. The family is all separated so we watched Last Christmas (with Emilia Clarke, most excellent) while we decorated the tree.

Yesterday we watched more xmas movies all day and today we open our gifts. Will be making shortbread from scratch. If the weather holds (we got huge snow this week) I'll soon be trying out my cross country skis in the back yard, which has a couple miles of groomed trails.

Tomorrow our daughter and her bf will be coming to exchange gifts and have dinner. We're making fall apart slow cook roast beef with fingerlings and asparagus with cultured butter and lemon. We're also making dark chocolate mousse for dessert to go with the shortbread.

Then, back to reality. Been a great holiday. Much love and many blessings to you all this Christmas season!!

Yes I was suppose I was being cute. Queen Elizabeth in the Blackadder Christmas Carol says 'Pressies' so that's where I got it....

I've had the same cold on and off since Thanksgiving. I stayed home rather than be sneezing and sniffling into a mask all evening.

The shortbread didn't turn out well...not sure what we did wrong. Probably too much butter.

I wear a capiline liner under my ski pants and the same on top, a capiline liner with a sweater and the outer shell. Just a hat, no goggles. It's cross country skiing. It was beautiful yesterday so we were out for an hour and a half. We experimented with taking the dog. He did great! Was totally excited by the new activity instead of us just walking with him.

A lovely xmas all in all. My daughter comes over tonight. I have to work today, but it will be an evening dinner party with prezzies and table games.
