Is it just me or are comedians not funny anymore?

I want to smell dark matter
(Yes I'm aware of the fact that I like Russell Brand and a lot of people don't, so you can add him to the list if you fucking want.)

Peter Kay: Well, not him, that fucking Geraldine character. See, it's Peter Kay. DRESSED AS A WOMAN. IT'S FUCKING GENIUS. HE MAKES JOKES ABOUT HOW HE USED TO HAVE A DICK BUT DOESN'T NOW BECAUSE HE'S A GIRL. LOL. No. I watched some of the Royal Variety (yeah, I know) and when Jimmy Carr was on they kept cutting to Charles laughing hysterically...when Geraldine was on they didn't cut to Charles once. I wonder why...

Michael McIntyre: See, his voice is weird. It goes up and down. THAT MAKES HIM FUNNY, APPARENTLY.

James Corden: They absolute worst. Charmless, smugh, ugly fat git. Maybe I'm influenced by when him and his equally unfunny but not as smug partner were hosting Big Mouth and made it clear that they didn't watch Big Brother and thought anyone who did was stupid but they were fine with accepting large sums of money to host a show about it. Or maybe it's just because he's an unlikable fuckstain.

Rufus Hound: To be fair, I don't think anyone actually finds him funny or has claimed he's funny, other than Richard and Judy. Seriously, they were obsessed with him for a while. I believe it's solely down to him that they went from 4 to a digital station only 12,000 people watch.

THERE'S PROBABLY MORE

I didn't see the Royal Variety Performance (I always avoid those things like the plague), but I have to disagree with you about Kay/Geraldine and McIntyre. Britain's got the Pop Factor and Possibly the Next Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice was FLAWLESS. It might not seem funny if you haven't watched the X Factor or any of those other talent shows that take themselves too seriously, but if you have then it's a brilliant parody. And the single they released beat the X Factor one in the charts. Excellent.

I didn't like McIntyre at first, but I've grown to appreciate him. Yeah, he has an overly silly voice (he sounds a bit like that waiter in the Simpsons who'd had a stroke), but his comedy is actually very knowing and funny when you get down to it.

Not sure about Rufus Hound.. is he really a comedian or just a journalist who found himself doing a funny bit on R&J? I don't find him that funny... especially if he does that sexy dance. Not as bad as James Corden though.

At least we can all agree to hate Corden!

The smug, successful git!

The fact that Dane Cook is a superstar tells you how dead the art of standup comedy is.

Who is he? I've noticed hate.

He's a scuzzy white guy who shouts into a microphone like the drunk frat guy at the party, and other soulless drunk white folks think it's HILARIOUS, so now he fills arenas and gets TV specials and gets cast in hideously bad movies.

Yeah, I'd kill that.

I thought this thread was about Canadians.
