I liked it. The Grinch attempt was much better than the RHPS attempt IMO.
 
So Britney still believes in Santa Clause? A teenage girl could possibly believe that SUE is Santa/Grinch?? OH FOR FREAKIN' FUCKS SAKE!!! Has GLEE become a kids show now?? Who writes this trash!???
 
"Bad" is still another season away. But this season has been silly, inconsistent and way too self-referential. The characters have already become one-dimensional caricatures, and sometimes become nothing more than voices for the writer to have debates with himself. It's sad that it happened so quickly.

And what kind of message is this sending the world when Sue uses Becky, a mentally challenged individual as her DOG...with full antler head gear!! This show has become irrational, despicable, UNwatchable!! The current writers should be FIRED!!
 
Well, the end to the Christmas episode was kinda sweet!:)
 
I thought there were a few really good episodes so far this season, but ALSO a lot of crap episodes. I've learned not to expect much, and just be pleasantly surprised when it's good.

The Christmas episode was Ok, IMO! It wasn't meant to be realistic, obviously. I'm always glad when Britney gets some lines.
 
In defense of Sue/Becky, I think they've established enough of a love relationship between them, and also that Becky is her own person, to be able to use her comically. I think that's a good thing, because TV has never been able to do anything with handicapped characters other than make them say cute, chipper things to make the audience go AWWWWWW. I like that Becky has an attitude just like everyone else on the show.

But yeah most of the rest of the season makes me CRY SALTY (spermy) TEARS. Although the frequent display of undressed men has been a PLUS.

I agree. The use of Becky, mentally challenged character is basically UNheard of in network tv. And the Sue character does care about her because her own sister is mentally challenged. But I still felt the reindeer/antlers on head submissive/subservient role was a bit over the top & discriminatory. Perhaps this will be an awakening?
 
The only time I ever watch Glee is when I tune in the last few minutes to wait for Raising Hope.

Here's a fun exercise: go back and watch S1E4 - Preggers.

Glee is basically literally not the same show as that was anymore. It started with the second half of season one, really, but the change in tone and content is dramatic, and not for the better.
