Is star Trek V as bad as the first 12 minutes appear?

LOL, good to know.

Directed and Written By shatner should have been a good clue.

You'll never guess, but they have set off without the enterprise being completely fixed. Leonard Nimoy looks in pain a lot, and they haven't left base.

I still can't tell if she's really naked or not. I'm sure if you slow mo-ed it you could see for sure. Unlikely that she is.

Either way, it is bad, particularly the effects, but it's still got some enjoyable bits. The banter between McCoy and Spock is as good as the best TOS episodes, and Sybok's mind meld thing with McCoy is a great scene for character development.

I've got it on while doing EXTREMELY frustrating media work, so it's a nice light relief from the constant pain of technical shit. Ugh, all this technology and nothing's fucking compatible! @~#:!

TUC is on later. One of the best movies.

Its the closest film to an actual episode of the series it was based on, and the only one to feature the sound effects of the show.

With a little CGI replacement effects work this could be one of the best trek films.

Shatner once said that he was thinking of getting them to name the 6th one "Star Trek VI: The Apology."

He didn't like it either.

It did spawn one memorable line: "Why does God need a starship?"
