is V (2009) tv series any good?

I was planning on watching season 1, but if it sucks let me know.

It's camp and low budget, but it is entertaining and I enjoy watching it. You may as well watch the first episode and see what you think. LOL.
 
I didn't care for it. It had all the problems of the first series, but no real charismatic characters to make it okay. Bland, dull and dreary is what I came away with.
 
Yeah, it sucks, but I'll probably still watch season two.
 
nuV's more mature than 80's V. But it still engaged in retardations. Its tone isn't as cheesy as the old one. The old one had a certain "tackiness" to it.

But 80s V is nostalgia for folks of a certain age, along with G1 TF, 80s GI Joe, He-Man, She-Ra, Thundercats and Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors.

Original V's saving grace was its actors: the Uber- earnest Marc Singer, who I'm pretty sure actually believed he was fighting aliens and not acting; Robert Englund and the wimpy lizard; and Diana the Soap opera queen villainess. She even said "Mwu-ha-ha-ha!" a few times. What's not to love about that?

This new one only had that girl from Lost who always looks like she has an upset stomach and may hurl at any moment. Meh, bland. And the only crazy wacky character I saw in the first episode got himself killed right away so the boring people could have more screen time. BOOOOOOO!
