Isn't death the ultimate finale!??

Do you people really believe in an afterlife?

Our souls go on & we're gonna live happily ever after in some fairy tale la la land with God??

Why are people so accepting of the implausible!??

And what's up with people who pray to an imaginary entity?? Reality check...he's not real, he's not listening & he's not gonna answer yer prayers!

If you wish to believe that is fine, i'm just a realist.

As a realist you have to accept logic. People who are so dead-set against anything existing that they can't tangibly touch, feel or see within their own dimensions of perception are being just as illogical as those who believe in unsubstantiated mythical and spiritual themes.

The fact is that no matter how implausible you think something is it doesn't negate it being. It is quite possible that there is some sort of afterlife. It's also quite possible there isn't.

You can't create or destroy energy. You can only change it from one form to another. That's simple thermodynamics.

Since our bodies ar run by bio-electricity parts of us cannot be destroyed. Some people call it a soul others don't use that exact wording. Whether any sencience exists afterwards is seriously debatable. But I wouldn't presume to guess either way. Deciding stead fast on a belief is dangerous and illogical.

At the end of the day it makes no difference. If I say that I believe in an afterlife and it brings me comfort then I go through life eventually die and either I was right and all is great or I was wrong and it makes no difference anyway.

But all our memories and stuff are chemically stored IN OUR BRAINS but our brains die when we dies so everything we are dies too and if there is an afterlife it must be fucking boring just floating around with no body for all eternity UNLESS you turn into a goat or something.

My point is always this...If there is no God or afterlife and I die and I'm just dead well then, no harm no foul, I wouldn't have lived my life and differently. I didn't really need to be doing anything else on Sunday morning anyway. However, if there is a God and an afterlife those of you who don't pray, praise and ask for forgiveness well, you're screwed. What it comes down to is, better safe than sorry.

That is all.

If there is a god, technically i'm going to hell just for being gay anyway...right? So why bother praying & asking for forgiveness if i'm already screwed!?? LOL.:)

But there are a lot of 'what ifs'. What if the Christian god isn't the real god and the Buhddist faith got it right, then you're screwed along with the rest of us.

I personally would rather go to hell than follow a faith that lets murderers and child rapists repent at the end and get a free pass. Hell, I'm not evil, I live my life as well as I can and I do the right thing when it comes down to it. If I'm going to burn for eternity over that then so be it.

They accept it to stop themselves from going mad.

People get closer to the altar the closer they get to death. I remember as an altar boy turning to another altar boy and remarking that the Mr Furnish had moved one aisle forward this year. He didnt think it was funny.

All religion is invented to stop us fearing death.

I've got some good altar boy stories i might tell you later, in code
