RIP Karl 1991-2014
Reality collapses in on itself; the world becomes a box, unbreakable padlock on the door, existential nightmare playing out over and over inside. You smell time; you taste light. A swirling vortex engulfs the floor, and suddenly the box is larger than ever before. The glowing red whirlpool sucks you in, and you become aware that you're drowning in the air. Suddenly it's not air, because you're in a volcano, and the fires of the bowels of the Earth consumes you, but you blink and you're on the dark side of the moon. Vacuum destroys you, but you're made anew. Toxic pools of mercury lay a hair's breadth beneath your feet: One slip and then you've got cancer. Tumours grow and eat away your flesh, until you look in the water and see strange, beige worms of a titanic breed crawling beneath your skin, everywhere, every piece of meat. You break apart, and all those hundreds of worms are you, animal, instinctual, but with a pearl. For ten millenia you look out, you see, you feel, but you are slave to the worm, and the worm is you.
