Jeremy Beadle is DEAD!

TV presenter Jeremy Beadle has died at the age of 59.

The personality - best known for his prank series Beadle's About - had been admitted to hospital last week suffering from pneumonia. Friends and family were at his bedside.

In a statement, Beadle's agent said: "Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife Sue, his two daughters, Cassie and Bonnie, and his stepchildren Leo and Claire. He will be greatly missed."

Beadle was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney in 2004 and a mild form of leukaemia in 2005, but received successful treatment for both.

I think the BBC must have used youtube material for the news this morning, theres no other excuse why a program from ITV would look like a badly encoded MPEG

What would be awesome is if something went horribly wrong at this funeral (Mathew Kelly smashes up the coffin or something) and everyone's crying and distraught and then a MAN IN A FAKE BEARD walks up to the front and starts to perform a special eulogy and Lenny Henry jumps up and says he's being disrespectful and grabs him by the beard and pulls it off and, yes, IT'S BEADLE HE FAKED HIS DEATH THE ULTIMATE PRANK!
