Joey Mercury In Rehab

Starship Coyote

Original Gangster!
From http://www.lordsofpain.net/

Joey Mercury has been sent to drug rehab effective immediately and he will be out of action indefinitely. Besides all the heat Melina and Johnny Nitro have, that was one of the reasons as to why MNM split up the way they did. Also, Mercury was supposedly the "glue" of the team, and basically the point man in regards to laying out most of their matches.

I always suspected Mercury was the backbone of that team from watching them.

In other news...

As reported earlier, WWE superstar Orlando Jordan was released from his contract this afternoon.

Actions at this week's SmackDown taping were said to have alerted many that Jordan would be released soon. Although he was scheduled to wrestle Tatanka, Jordan was pulled from the show to attend a pre-show meeting and then removed from the building.

Jordan had recently been travelling on the road with an unauthorized person who was also allowed backstage for WWE events. This is said to have upset Vince McMahon and various other WWE officials.

Mark Henry’s vicious assault on Friday Night SmackDown was apparently the last straw for Chris Benoit. WWE.com has learned that because of injury after injury, mile after mile and event after event, Chris Benoit feels it’s time he should take a sabbatical. Sources close to Benoit state that he is exhausted both physically and emotionally, and that with time off Benoit will recharge and come back better than ever.

With Benoit on the shelf indefinitely, Mark Henry can officially add one more list of victims that he has brutally injured. The World’s Strongest Man made an immediate impact upon returning to WWE last January when he took out Batista. As a result of the injury, The Animal was forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship and hasn’t been able to compete ever since going down.

The SD roster is getting thinner and thinner...

Johnny Nitro and Melina are heading to RAW. I can't wait to see the rivalry between Melina and Trish pick back up once Trish is healthy.

Chris Masters may also be suspended/sent to rehab.

And this Monday on RAW, A new GM will be announced!! So far the two are either JBL or Dusty Rhodes. I think it'll probably be Dusty Rhodes.

More news.

It looks like Chris Masters has been pulled off the road effective immediately due to a supposed violation of the WWE Drug Policy. For what it's worth, Chris Masters was advertised to wrestle Carlito at last night's Raw brand house show in Kennewick, Washington, however, he didn't appear on the card. Instead, Carlito wrestled Shelton Benjamin and Rob Van Dam in a three way IC match. Also, Masters is - or was - scheduled to wrestle Carlito at today's Raw brand house show in Kennewick, WA.

Yeah, probably Dusty. The storyline for JBL is supposed to be that Teddy misinterpreted what JBL said, and Layfield is going to sue WWE or something like that.

Smackdown! needs all the heels it can get. If they lost JBL, the show would go right down the shitter.

It's already going down the shitter, quality-wise and ratings-wise. Jobbing JBL to a cruiserweight like Rey just makes it worse...but I've already expounded on that subject.

I agree, right now it's circling the bowl. It gets any worse, and it may not make it to the CW launch.

Like Masters is a huge shock - the guy looks and acts 'roided up for the best part. The amazing thing is Snitsky is still employed - that guy has to be pilled up to his eyeballs with all that bacne.

As for Benoit - good decision. Why risk another serious neck injury? Take some time, and let the knocks settle. Jordan was shit, oh and JBL deserves to be jobbed out to everyone.

One thing you can be sure of: JBL isn't spending time talking shit about you...he's busy counting money from being a top draw wrestler.

Incidentally, he's out on a back injury. There's another from SD gone for awhile. Orton is coming back June 16 or something like that after promising to be a good boy.

But you're right about Jordan. Anyone know who the mystery person was that he was sneaking into events? That's what got him sent home for good.
