This series starts tonight on BBCA, but i think it already aired in the Uk. Did you guys watch it? Is it worth watching? I'll probably watch it a bit anyway, since it's on right after Orphan Black and I've got nothing else to watch. I HOPE IT ISN'T BORING.

I watched the first episode and it was ok. It was well acted and by British standards it looked very good (there was some CGI which was movie quality). I didn't really take to the main character as he was a bit of a wimp, but haven't seen any further episodes.

I've been watching it because there's nothing else on a Sunday (well except Big Brother but that DOESN'T COUNT.) The first episode was the weakest but it gets better. I think Strange was hardly in the first episode and he's more likable than Norrel.

I watched most of the first episode, but I fell asleep before it was over :rwmad: I have trouble staying awake for any tv show, so it's not that it was boring or anything.

I loved the book (I read every Hugo winner) and the story does get darker and better.

I watched the first episode but refuse to watch anything else as my attention span is so sh

Of the first episode? Mister Norrell made a deal with the evil fairy guy to bring the politician's dead wife back to life. The fairy guy took her finger and gets half of her life and she gets to live to 94 or something. I think that's how it ended.

I don't want to read the book because I heard it has footnotes and I don't know how they'd work on Kindle and I can't be bothered buying the paper book becaues it's probably really thick and my wrists are sore?

The finale was on last night (in the UK). It was good. It seemed to set up another series but I don't see how that can happen when there's only one book and ratings were apparently quite low. Did anyone else watch beyond the first episode?

I'm still watching it but I keep falling asleep before it's over because IT'S PAST MY BEDTIME :rwmad:
