Jurassic Park has the best film score?

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
NO, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK DOES!

I know it's a typical Trekky response, but TWoK and TUC.. oh and FC, they all have film scores as great at those two.

But I'm sure none of these are the best. I'd suggest something by Ennio Morricone.

preditor FTW

Who's doing Trek 11? John Williams? Probably not.

Actually, I think it's the guy who does Lost. Tomtrak would know more i imagine.

I hope he includes "make your own kind of music" somehow.

I think the theme to ST11 will be downtown, as sung by groundskeeper willie

ACH! DOON TOON!

AYE, BROTHER

Yeah it'll be Michael Giacchino doing Trek 11, as he does all Abrams stuff (Alias, Lost, MI:III, even the end credits for Cloverfield). He also did The Incredibles and almost won an oscar for Ratatouille.

SO I HOPE IT WILL BE GOOD.

Also Jerry Goldsmith's score for Star Trek: The Motion Picture was awesome, and I'm actaully quallified to say that. FUCK YEAH.

It was. Then the other ones he did were derivative of it.

Final Frontier was so-so, the "Busy Man" theme (God's theme) was the best part.
First Contact was really nice, the actualy first contact theme is lovely even though it's only played about three times in the entire film. THe action cues by his son, Joel, were nice too.
Insurrection wasn't anything interesting. It wasn't BAD, it just wasn't anything remarkable. A lot like the film.
I really liked Nemesis' score (which of course would be HIS LAST ONE FOR STAR TREK) and it has some repises of stuff that hadn't been heard since TMP which people like me who care about such things notice and go "oooooh".

Fuck you, science fiction geeks.

Requiem for a Dream, and Enemy at the Gates have the best film scores.

Herbert

Correct. My personal favourite.

The music to total recall is pretty damn sweet

Superman and Fifth Element.

Shit...how did I forget Halloween.

No one's mentioned Lord of the Rings yet? (We're fantasy geeks too.)
