Just read the entire "house of M" saga today

Well most of it, skipped through some of the lesser known (never heard of) "heroes", overall a good read, but they really need to get the writers to collaborate more.

Much like civil war, the events in the main comic that covered the event didn't match up to those happening in the other titles.

I felt that the House of M served simply as a reset button for Marvel to rid themselves of a lot of characters they could no longer to be bothered to write.

However, as convoluted as it was, it was still good to put The Scarlet Witch, an underutilised & weakly written character into a central roll. It's certainly no Phoenix saga, but not bad.

I haven't read that yet (well, maybe of it), but I know the general idea. It's funny how all the most famous mutants managed to keep their powers (or quickly got them back somehow.) So it's not so much "no more mutants" as "not as many mutants, really".

Or "no more mutants that we didn't really care that much about before anyway, really".

Is THE BLOB still around?

He lost his powers and a ton of weight. Ended up with massive skin folds…
I thought House of M was a fairly decent read, but the end result was just stupid.
They could’ve done some interesting things with those characters…

Poor Blob. :(

He was in the saga briefly though.

He'd have got it all back if he'd come to BROKEN BRITAIN with our OBESITY EPIDEMIC that's SWEEPING THROUGH THE SHIRES, due to IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTING.

But he'd put the weight back on when he can't adopt a child because he's too fat.
