At first he just seemed boring. Then he got drunk and turned into a League Of Gentlemen character. Horrible person. I think the reason he got so angry at Cheggers was because Cheggers knows an alcoholic when he sees one. Apparently he got drunk and made an arse of himself again at the finale.
