Keira Knightley has blasted youngsters for being obsessed with fame and celebrity.
The 'Pride and Prejudice' star thinks young people are too fame hungry and is uncomfortable with fans who are eager to know everything about her.
She told the Radio Times magazine: "It frightens me when kids go, 'I want to be famous.' Why? Because you want to go into a restaurant?
"You know what - if you book you can get into a restaurant. If you want to be rich go and work on the stock market."
Keira admits she struggles to cope with her celebrity status.
She said: "Why would I want strangers to know me? I find it an odd concept and I don't deal with it particularly well."
The 22-year-old actress also hit out at people taking too much interest in her appearance, and claims she only looks so good in photographs because they have been touched up.
She said: "Somebody goes, 'Gosh, you're pretty'. Thanks, I've got good genes! OK, I'm on the cover of a magazine, but somebody else does the hair and make-up and airbrushes the f**k out of me - it's not me, it's something other people have created."
This stranger right here would still hit it.
