Kellie Maloney

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
She seems full of love!

Oh, wait.

BBC NEWS | UK | Politics | UKIP candidate sparks gay anger

Frank Maloney said he would not be campaigning in the borough of Camden because there are "too many gays".

His claims prompted the Gay Tories to brand him a "dangerous extremist" who "should resign or be sacked".

But Mr Maloney defended his remarks: "I don't want to campaign around gays...I don't think they do a lot for society."

So I don't really like Kellie much and I was thinking that I don't "buy" her being transexual but that feels unfair. I mean she's actually on hormone treatment, so the idea that she's faking it is pretty silly. So why did it enter my mind? I don't think I'm transphobic. I never had a problem thinking of Nadia as female or Luke A as male. Even crazy Lauren Harries I never once thought of as a man, just as a really crazy woman. I understand that Kellie's much earlier in the transition process than all of them were. But sometimes when she talk I feel like she doesn't "get" what it means to be a woman? Like she talks about "Kellie" and "Frank" as if they're two seperate people who exist inside her, but shouldn't she feel like she's always been Kellie all along? She talks about how Frank was a horrible person but she'll be a good person as Kellie, seemingly because she thinks women are all sweetness and light (she also talked about wanting to be a woman because they're so pretty.) Sorry, but women are shits too. Changing gender isn't going to make you a good person. I kind of feel like maybe in a year we'll hear she's back to living as Frank. Oh and that whole think where she was asking "if I fancy a woman, am I lesbian?" Well, yeah. You're a woman, right? Anyway I don't know what I'm going on about here, just ignore moe.

I've wondered all those things too. Gender politics is about as confusing as quantum mechanics sometimes. I think she's just a bit fragile at the moment, and looking for a friendly ear, so not everything she's saying is making much sense.
