So, let me get this straight:

I misbehave, and get a bunch of warnings. (No argument there). I also get banned, with no real banning announcement - it takes Cait going down and getting into a fight with just about every moron who can't read to get some kind of answer from them as to what was going on.

When it was all said and done, I get banned for a two week period. Knowing the rules better then they do, I point that out to them several times to no avail (they just ignore me and count it up to a pissed off troll).

So, what do they do? Wait for a week and a half until my ban is just about up, and they realize that I'm probably still pissed at them and will take a liquid shit all over their board. So they decide "oh, we fucked up, my bad, here, have an extra long ban on us".

And I love the kicker on the end. "Were still discussing what were going to do with the additional warnings". How much do you want to bet they'll "discuss" it for a month and a half, and then "decide" to ban me for another six months?

Typical. Just fucking typical.
 
Love the title of the thread. I really do.

I can't say as I disagree with your predictions. We'll have to wait and see. I could open a Bookie event and at least we could make some points on it and have a little fun.
 
I think you called it right when you said they won't perma me to avoid all that "4 horsemen" bullshit. (i.e. only me, DS, CU, and GTC would be banned) Instead, they'll just stack ban on top of ban to effectively give me a perma, without it actually being a "perma".

Ingenious, really. However, its also against their ideals.
 
Ideals?

Here are the ideals of ExIsle: do whatever is necessary to maintain an insulated, intellectually incestuous community of secondrate minds that are more alike than different.

I for one find it hilarious the amount of handwringing and general crying that occured in the OT over the PATRIOT act and Bush's affirmation of the NSA domestic spying scenario...compounded with boisterous cries that usually boil down to that belabored quote from Ben Franklin about security and liberty...and few to none there are intelligent enough to see the parallel of what they've done to their own community.

In the end, my 12 year old daughter is more thoughtful, intelligent and exhibits more common sense than 90% of EI posters. When you consider that she thinks Ben Affleck should run for President, that should tell you something.

Well, I was talking about their verbalized ideals, that everyone is loved and all that bullshit they love to tell everyone.

As much as I really do not like RobL and do not expect him to change his way after the one month off. But you guys set his punishment and now find out that you could add extra time on to this. I think that is the wrong way to do this.

Well, I've got nothing against RobL. He's quite intelligent. I agree though, he has already been given the 2 week suspension on March 1st, and to discover a "mistake" several days later and extending the suspension is really messed up. Let him serve out his two weeks. It was the staff's error, not his as far as the duration goes. No one is perfect, fine, but doing an extension only makes matters worse. Just my two pennies worth.

I know. I read it too. Quite frankly I'm stunned, but pleased.

Hell has definitely frozen over. Anyone want to go skiing? ;)
 
Well, maybe for once I've said something right I hope. I just wrote how I saw it, and I really don't think it was fair of them to add on to your suspension. Surprisingly, G1223 felt the same way. I've also stood up for Darth reguarding his perma, but some folks over there won't budge, and others don't want to hear of it. What's right is right, and what's wrong is wrong.

...And, yes. If it snows in hell, I'll ski there too. :D

actually it looks like a lot of people are standing up for robl in that thread. I'm surrpised. and geez, veganmom should at least get a warning for those comments!

Sort of like a "Rainbow Coalition". It's the oddest assortment of people in total agreement I've ever seen. I thought I couldn't be surprised like this, but I'll admit, this is very cool!
