Mmm, looks great, though with Hit Girl being that much older it's less of a novelty to hear her using fruity language.
 
Yeah, twelve year old saying "cunt" and killing people is cute, fifteen year old doing it IS A DOCUMENTARY.
 
I watched this today. It was pretty meh. It starts off quite good. The stuff with all the super heroes meeting up is good. The stuff with Hit Girl and the Mean Girls is entertaining enough, in an over the top way. But the tone is all over the place. Sometimes it's "this is what would happen if people tried to be superheroes in real life!" other times they're having over the top super hero battles (and the scene where Mother Russia slaughters like ten cops in unbelievable ways.) The "Hit Girl trying to fit in" story ends in a really stupid way with vomit and poop. Then the climax is really rushed: Motherfucker and Kick-Ass should have had more scenes together, they mention something about Motherfucker having a plan to blow up the whole city then never mention it again and in the end the movie seems to be saying "it's okay for fifteen year old girls to murder people as long as they're cool." And Dave looks way too old to be in high school (and more than two years older than Mindy.) Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz (and Jim Carrey in his five minutes) are good so it's watchable, but overall kind of a poor effort.
