Languages

Dual

RIP Karl 1991-2014
So, it's appearing that I'm going to need to be quatro-lingual in order to get my master's, tri-lingual for my baccalaureate. This will probably involve fortifying my Japanese, plus learning French (for the anthro side of my degree) and Greek (for the classics/history side of my degree).

It's kind of like my favourite subjects from youth (humanities) got merged with my least favourite (languages). :S:

Look on the bright side. With such disparate root languages you will actually have a lot of base knowledge for more languages since the linguistic rules for greek language families tend to be very similar as do those for european (is it arabic alphabet? I think that's the term but I'm too tired to check). Japanese ia a whole other beast but what the heck...

The Greek branch of Indo-European is doesn't have that much in common with any other living languages, and thank Jove it doesn't use Arabic script! Greek uses an alphabet which I'm already somewhat proficient in. Τηισ ισ Ενγλιση ρενδερεδ ιν Ελλενιψ σψριπτ (that was English)!
