I think Eggs is the only David Letterman fan here? MAYBE

I am sad that Stephen Colbert is giving up The Colbert Report :( I guess it's really great for his career and he'll probably make a fuck load more money but late night talk shows on the networks suck donkey balls. I will miss "Stephen Colbert".
 
Yeah, it's a mixed bag of feelings -- when I yammer about this on other sites, I always say "Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert already have their dream jobs -- to take the Late Show would be a step down for them." Guess Colbert feels differently. I can understand that he might want to give up the character he's been playing on his show and just be himself, but I hope whoever that is will be just as interesting.

The good news is, if Colbert is taking over, the show stays in New York. Take that, Hollywood! We took the Tonight Show, and you can't have the Late Show! WE WIN YOU LOSE NOW GO FALL INTO THE SEA LIKE THE SCIENTISTS SAY YOU WILL HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHahahahahahahadfklasdfha;sdk

The bigger question for me is, what will replace The Colbert Report at 11:30? Will @Midnight change its name? :joker:
 
I only ever watch Letterman when he's interviewing attractive actresses so this probably won't make much difference to me as long as attractive actresses continue to be booked as guests.
 
His show doesn't translate to 11:30, and I think he knew it, and knew that he was never really in the running. I think he's even said that he prefers his style of show at the later hour.

The good news is, since his contract guaranteed him to be on the short list of candidates to replace Dave, he gets a penalty payment of several million dollars for not getting the job. The bad news is, his contract is up soon and he's not beating Seth Meyers in the ratings, so he might be replaced himself.

Which would suck, because I think his show is hilarious.
 
Yeah I have found his show to be amusing. I don't tend to watch it much though, since it's on so late.
 
Anytime I've watched because he's interviewing an actress he rips has cards up at the start of the interview is that a thing?
 
It's probably a way to saying WOO HOO THIS BITCH IS SO HOT I FORGET ANYTHING I WUZ GONNA ASK HER I THINK I'LL JUST SIT HERE AND WANK WHILE SHE TALKS or something. (really)
