should change the date...that's how long since I've been working on it...it's his nose...it's not straight but it's not wide and I can't seem to get it the right perspective.

I like it. The rendering is good. You need shadowing on that far arm and then the angle won't look weird. I know why it's at that perspective it just needs som shading to make it work.

His nose could be smaller, I know what a bitch faces are, god do I know it. Also give the shadow lines on his jeans just a tiny bit more strength, but other than that it looks great.

Who is Jack?

You've made me go back to a sketch that was making me cry blood. I hate getting the original outline down. I like to get 90% of the whole picture in outline form that I am at least 98% happy with before I start putting any detail in. The outline can be rough but it has to be pretty much perfect anatomically.

I have been having the most pain with an arm I am trying to get right. I just frankly don't enjoy getting the lines right at the start, it's frustrating and makes you want to give up after every failed attempt. The detail work can be tedious on big pieces but I enjoy it far more, I like putting shadows in and seeing the picture pop out, and I enjoy doing faces. The MJ face I didn't enjoy doing because it was fiddly and small on the page, the one I am doing now will be far more satisfying to get right.

It won't be done tonight I doubt. Probably tomorrow if I crack at it. I've finally got this arm right so I am continuing with the rest of the piece. I will post it up when I'm done of course.

If you've ever taken any anotomical art lesson they always tell you that the Nose is the most unattractive of human features. You'll never get any nose "just right".

^Hey You. :D thanks for making me feel better...

I like noses - some of them have incredible character...but yeah...getting 'em 'just right?" Murder.
*entailing much gnashing of teeth today for sure*

anyway, gotta go teach for a coupla hours - will post what I end up with later tonight .

Menty, many thanks for the pointers...you should hopefully see an improvement...

Excellent. It looks great now, it did before but those small touches really make it look better.

Kudos.
