“So Sambo beat the bitch!” This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

I'm going to enjoy her time as Veep.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

The waitress was probably a darkie.

“It was kind of disgusting,” Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.

Oh, I'm sorry... she's an "aboriginal." That's a world of difference right there.

Then, almost with a sigh, she added, “But that’s just Alaska.”
Racial and ethnic slurs may be “just Alaska” and, clearly, they are common, everyday chatter for Palin.
Besides insulting Obama with a Step-N’-Fetch-It, “darkie musical” swipe, people who know her say she refers regularly to Alaska’s Aboriginal people as “Arctic Arabs” – how efficient, lumping two apparently undesirable groups into one ugly description – as well as the more colourful “mukluks” along with the totally unimaginative “f**king Eskimo’s,” according to a number of Alaskans and Wasillians interviewed for this article.

Sounds like a great place to live.

I feel I need to speak out on behalf of the Republicans on this one, it's just not right. The Republicans were the FIRST to pull the race card in this election and HOW DARE the damn Democrats copy them!

Did a little Googling and it's not being reported that widly. Can't see any of the big News companies picking the story up. Seems to still be in the blogging realm for the moment.

We have one eyewitness in the waitress. That's not a lot to go on. It could easily be true or it could just as easily be bullshit.

No real way to tell unless someone else overheard her.

Imagine Obama had said something racist towards white people like this.

FOX would have picked THAT story up by now and you know it.

You might want to research that statement. I believe it was the Clinton's that played the race card, first, second, recently, etc. The Clinton's are Democrats.

What about ABC, CBS, CNN, and all the other news stations and papers that would love to run a story that paints Palin in a bad light?

Something you should realize. In America, it is only a "racist" statement if it is a white person saying something unkind or unpopular about any person or group of people that are not white.
