Les Miserable

I knew Anne Hathaway would be stunning and she did not disappoint.

Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe both sounded to me like they were wearing flippers on their teeth and it affected the sound of their voices.

People carry on about Russel Crowe's singing but don't seem to mention the absolutely horrendous singing of Amanda Seyfried.

Eddie Redmayne as Marius was a most delightful surprise as he has a beautiful singing voice.

Samantha Barks and Daniel Huttlestone were pretty darn good.

The young men of the revolution and at the barricade were beautiful and sang very well.

I love musicals. Have not seen Les Miserable before now because of its very depressing nature. The up close perspective doesn't make this story more palatable to me. I hate it. It is too much sorrow and pain and it fits its name. It was very long and it made me cry too much when it wasn't absolutely boring. The good news is I have seen it and I never have to see it again.

Saw it live 7-8 years ago and saw it live again on Thursday.

Be envious.

I got to see Robert Goulet play King Arthur and Richard White sing Lancelot in Camelot live. Knew Richard White would be an excellent Lancelot when I heard him in the part of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. He was almost as good as Franco Nero.

My mom hated this movie, she thought Vanessa Redgrave was a floozy with a man jaw. *snicker*

I love the whole movie but that is one of my favorite songs. Franco Nero wasn't singing? Oh No!!!! He was still gorgeous.

I was disappointed to find out Rossano Brazzi wasn't really singing in South Pacific too.

I'm only a little disappointed. Too bad they didn't give Gene Merlino credit for his work though on Camelot. While Lancelot was all looks it was the singing that melted butter.

Too bad they couldn't have picked some singers for Les Miserable, especially for the parts that were huge. I love Hugh Jackman but at some point I was wishing he would just be quiet. They should have completely rearranged for Russell Crowe
