I like Christina Ricci in the title role of the Lizzie Borden Chronicles on the Lifetime channel. The critics don't seem to love the show as much.

I remember the commercials for it, but I haven't been watching.

The series will have only 8 episodes. The set, costumes, and production values are very nice for Lifetime TV. I would never believe all of this story to be the truth about Lizzy Borden but there is enough of it that is that makes it plausible. There is one scene where children are taunting her as she is walking down the street. When Lizzie stops walking and turns to look at the children, all but one girl runs away in fright. That girl says, "I'm not afraid of you." Lizzie says, "Then you haven't been paying attention." Christina Ricci is playing this part very well. Right now Lizzie's sister has just gotten engaged. Having kept up with the show, I'm worried about what Lizzie will do to her sister's fiancé.
