I've never been a fan of the 'turn the other cheek' or 'Ignore the troublemakers' line of reasoning, because the first option just means you get slapped twice, and the second tends to inspire said troublemakers to try harder just to get a reaction out of you.

However, we are trying to deal with the situation as best we can.
