Its official, time moves slower on the island.

By my drunk reckoning and my excell spreadsheet, a 45 second rocket trip that ends up taking 30 minutes means that time is moving 40 time slower on the island than off it, of course that would mean in the 90 days they have been there ten years has passed in teh real world, which we know it hasnt or Walt would be a man rather than a teenager, so either the time differential is variable, or they just fucked that up a bit.

Syied hitman was an intersting thing, and that he would be working for Ben is a shock, and doing it to keep his friends alive, a bigger one.

I guess his vitims are realated to the boat people since they have a bracelet in common.

Totally out of character for Hurley to be the bait in that trap, but there you go.

Sawyer did some amazing non vocal acting, its criminal that he did vertually nothing between apearing in the pilot for Angel and lost, teh guy can act.

I thought it was a great episode.. made me anxious for next Thursday to HURRY UP AND GET HERE.

Ben must be the anti christ or kesa sozey or something, noone should ever be in that much control, no matter what the situation

Lost 4.3

OMG WTF SAYID IS BEN'S LOVE SLAVE?

The weakest episode so far, I'd say, but still very good and a lot better than this time last season. Naveen Andrews is just about the best actor on the show (him or Terry O'Quin...or Michael Emerson maybe. But he's up there!) so Sayid episodes are always enjoyable.

HOWEVER, I was a bit disappointed in the whole "assassin in the future" thing. Sayid has always been one of the most consistently written characters. He's got a dark past, but he's atoning for it on the island. He exiled himself from the group in season one just because he tortured Sawyer a bit! And now we're supposed to believe he's going to work for BEN as a killer? There better be a damn good reason or else Sayid will be another ruined character. Vet Ben did mention something about "protecting his friends" to Sayid by killing for him. Who? The other members of the Oceanic 6? The people still on the island. And who is on Sayid's list? R.G.? REGULUS BLACK!?

OR DID BEN HYPNOTISE SAYID WHEN THEY WERE ALONE IN THE BARRACKS? Probably not, you'd think Ben would have used his hypnosis powers earlier if he had them.

So we finally get it confirmed that there's some kind of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey thing going on with the island. I don't think it's as simple as the island being 31 minutes behind the rest of the world, since in the same episode we saw that realtime communications with the outside world are possible. Maybe there's all kind of time pockets around the island and depending on which route you leave, you can end up anywhere in history or something.

Locke can't find Jacob's cabin now? Could the island be displeased with Locke for some reason? Could Hurley be the island's new favourite, since he saw the cabin?

I liked Hurley standing up to Locke's craziness a bit. Didn't like Hurley being a sneak and setting up Sayid and Kate. Bad Hurley. He could start down a slope to EVIL. What's next? WILL HE MOLEST ALEX?

It was funny how the boat people still ended up with one person held hostage but they didn't care because Miles is a dick.

Charlotte and Daniel will obviously end up stranded on the island and probably travel around solving mysteries. He's already getting stuck-in to the time distortion stuff and she'll probably find out about the ancient civilisation on the island (four toed statue!) and the origin of the others. Miles will have a confrontation with Jacob in the season finale. And probably die.

Claire got one line ("I need to feed Aaron!") and Sunn and Jinn didn't even appear. Ouch.

We always post at the same time! I'll merge the threads...watch...

There, no one will ever know!

I caught that too. Alas, that means we are to infer that Sawyer [or anyone else] doesnt finally KILL that smirking bastard Ben anytime soon. TOO BAD!

And yeah - Hurley being tricky and all schemy? C'mon writers, dont be going off the deep end here - have the characters stay in character!!!

It WAS weird about Locke not being able to find Jacob's cabin....hmmm.

I can only imagine that Sayid believes he has an extremely good reason to go out killing people. I think he's loyal to the Losties, and perhaps Ben has let him in on whatever he knows about the island and it's relation and importance to the outside world. The mysterious black dude is obviously up to no good!

Sayid said something like "remember what happened the last time you followed your heart instead of your head" to Sayid, so that's another incidient to look out for. Maybe Sayid is reunited with Nadia and she betrays him, the ho.

Yeah! I remember Ben saying that, and I wondered what he meant by it. I sure hope they don't leave us hanging too long on this new mystery.

The fact that Locke couldnt find the cabin certainly makes last weeks moving cabin more intersting.

We thought the cabin only moved in Hurleys imagination, but if its gone from its original place maybe there was more to it than that.

Could Hurley be like Walt, could he actually make things real with the power of his imagination?

Hurley always has a downer on himself, so even when he won the lottery, he was convinced it was cursed because of all the bad things that happened, his house burning, the meteor, but what if he was somehow subconsiously causing these things to happen?

He could make things appear, and also it seems disapear if he concentrates hard enough.

^YES. Good connection with the lottery win. That would explain the "cursed numbers". Of course it would also make Hurley responsible for killing the asian news reporter with the meteor. Oops.

ALSO, remember way back at the start people were saying Walt made the polar bears appear because he had a comic with polar bears in them? But it turned out it was actually Hurley's comic. Of course, we know Dharma brought the polar bears to the island...COULD STILL BE A CLUE THOUGH.

But just because Dhama brought bears to the island dosnt mean Walt couldnt have brought another one into exhistance.

Makes me wonder if a few of them have this power, might explain how Kates horse appeared on the island.

Yeah...and Hurley seeing Dave as well...we all thought those were manifestations of the Smoke Monsters, but who really knows?

Though I'm sure Yemi appearing to Eko was the Smoke Monster.

Isn't it more likely that it's the island/magnetism/smoke monster? That's only one unsual thing causing it all, rather than a bunch of unusual people.

I didn't like this episode much. Sayid's one of my favourite characters since he's down to Earth and believable and of course well acted, but he's not that interesting. And the assassin thing didn't really jive with me.

Also, the Hurley thing really pissed me off. He would not do that.

Well, it wasn't that bad what he did...it was kind of weird though how he was arguing with Locke about holding hostages but had no problem getting Kate, Sayid and "the angry chinese guy" captured. Mabye Locke raped him?

Or maybe Locke offered to release Hurley from his pain, so Hurley would help him find Shak ka ree

Locke hypnotized him with a peanut butter covered leaf.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET A GAY CHARACTER?
