Male Model Nico Commits Suicide

On Feb. 14, 2005, Male nude model Nico died from a .22 caliber gunshot to the head. His body was found lying on a bed in his house in Palm Springs, California. His death has been ruled a suicide, but his fanatic fan Henoch believes he was murdered.

Damn! Dead of a .22! I just saw an episode of Ripley's Believe It Or Not tonight where somebody got his skull impaled -- ran clean through -- with a 2" diameter ribbed lead pipe, and not only survived it but survived with no serious brain damage.

Then there's this guy, who snuffed it with a bullet only one step up from an air rifle pellet. That must've taken some serious tenacity.

That was my first thought. A .22?! Who kills themselves with a .22? Who kills someone else with a .22? Even Cheney had the sense to use a .30 caliber when trying to whack his pal.

Well you see, you shoot someone with a .45 and their brain splatters every which-a-way, whereas you shoot someone in the back of the head with a .22 and the bullet bounces around their skull like Pacman until they die. No mess.

Actually I wonder if that might actually be the case.

I vaguely recall a story of someone getting shot in the leg by a small-caliber round, and it ricocheting up to their hip, where it severed an artery and they died.

I am just pleased that Nico is getting well deserved attention from my fellow TKers.

Although my heart skipped a beat when i seen the words Nico & suicide all clumped together.
