The Downfall
The downfall of Troll Kingdom started late in 2006 when Mentalist, who up to this point, had been a long time member in good standing at TK, was given the administrator reigns. The first causality under his reign was a forum known as the "Mine Field".
Originally conceived in 2004, the Mine Field was a depository for spam and postings that the owners felt were detrimental to the members. Keeping with the TK philosophy of free speech, nothing at TK was deleted. Instead, problematic posts were consigned to the minefield and labeled as potentially hazardous to a persons PC if viewed.
Over time, this forum was adopted by several members and became a wasteland of eclectic and bizarre posting patterns ranging from inane babble to off the wall photos and outright spam. It also became a forum for what were to be considered “elite” TK members to do and post as they wish. As Mentalist was a foremost member of this group, he used his administrator position to formulate a special set of rules everyone BUT the minefield regulars were expected to follow. Non-group members in violation of Mentalist’s rules were consigned to “day care” for an indeterminate amount of time and released at Mentalist’s whim.
The End
This set a pattern that was soon seen spreading to all corners of Troll Kingdom. Flooding and spamming topics and or forums was quickly made taboo except for a small group of individuals in Mentalists inner circle. Gagh, one of Troll Kingdoms foremost spam manufactures, was given free reign to practice his particular form of annoyance while other long time members and new members were immediately sent to daycare by Mentalist for the same practice. It was also suspected that Messenger, a newer member whom many suspected of being a former original member of TK who was tired of not receiving the attention he craved, might, in some way be the puppet master behind Mentalists bizarre and abusive administrative decisions.

I won't revert the vandalism, in case anyone wants to see it.
