Metalocalypse and Dethklok

Anyone else like this show and the related band?

I know it catches a lot of grief from the metal community, but "Dethalbum III" is pretty good.

For all the guff Smalls takes about the almost "cute" packaging of the show, he has made a good animation show that has some quality metal to go with it.

Yeah, I know he's fond of blast beats and tremolo picking, but doesn't change the fact that it's fun to listen to.

As for the show the, the animation is awesome for an American-made animation-based show. The characters are all pretty unique. It does a wonderful job at lampooning the big four (specifically Metallica) and their over-dramatic nonsense. It's got a LOT of really funny moments. The story arc got lost along the way in the second season, but they did a great job of tying it together in the last season. I look forward to how this next (probably final) season turns out.

Never heard of it before other than the name. I am so out of touch with this stuff.
Music sounds nice, I can definitely listen to it repeatedly. I'll check the show out when it airs over here, sounds like it's fun

^They're working on their fifth season. I know that the first three seasons are on DVD already. They're a lot of fun. You're guaranteed to see blood and slaughter every episode along with some decent metal accompaniment.

Didn't like it at first, but I'm not really much of a metal guy ('though I know quite a few,) so I found the piss-taking amusing and it slowly grew on me.

Favorite episode is the one where they take over & annihilate the State of Florida.

I like Dethcamp a lot. One of their better-written shows in the terms of drama/comedy/music/pop culture. It covers a lot of grounds in a short amount of time.
