[BEGIN RANT]

Sorry, Eggs, it's gotta be said. I just got home from work, pop on the game and Chase Utley is at bat. His hitting streak is in jeopardy, he's 0-for-4.

Are the Mets fans respectful of the 35-game hitting streak? Nope. They're chanting "No more streak!" Utley, regrettably, strikes out. Do the Mets fans cheer his effort? Nope, they stand up and boo, giving him the "sit down sign".

I turned to my wife and said, "You know, Ryan Howard should shut these assholes up, and hit a home run."

Two pitches later, Howard crushes his major-league leading 37th Home Run, his 20th to the opposite field. Shut those asshole, low-class Mets fans right up. The Phils play the Mets 9 out of the next 22 games, and I hope they kill 'em in each and every game.

The fans in St. Louis booed the scorer when he ruled a FC on Utley's at-bat. Why? Because they are knowledgeable baseball fans who respect the achievement. I mean, this was the 10th longest hitting streak in the history of the sport.

Maybe ALL Mets fans aren't assholes, but the ones at the game tonight sure are.

Unfortunately my dinner delivery came to the door just as he was coming to bat, and thanks to the order being fucked up I missed the whole at bat, so I didn't see any of it.

That does suck, I can't believe it was the whole crowd...Yankee fans are more known for this shit than us. Now if it were an Atlanta BRAVE who was going for a streak, we WOULD talk smack at him without blinking. But not a Phillie. But people in general are more evil than they used to be, so what do I know.

Delgado strikes out, Phils win. You can take that with you at least. ;)

How about Ryan Howard though?? Man, was that a STATEMENT home run or what??

As bad as the Phils are, things could get interesting now!!

I wouldn't be surprised if they soft-pitched Howard just to make up for the fans being such dicks. ;)
