More revelations from Harry's book

I want to smell dark matter
William and Harry were forced to sign a letter stating that Diana "wasn't really that good of a mum anyway" and that Camilla is "much better and prettier" ten days after the fatal car crash that took Diana's life.

Buckingham palace is actually a gigantic inactive Decepticon who will one day wake and bring death and destruction to of Britain.

Prince Philip had wooden teeth.

The Queen Mum had a "little African fellow" she used as a human chair.

My tolerance of the Royal family was always going to go off a cliff after The Queen died. I was never a big fan, but couldn't help but have some admiration for the ol' gal. Plus, she reminded me of my late grandmother.

Imagine some portion of your hard-earned taxes going towards keeping these people living in palaces. They've got enough cash - cut them lose, they keep their private assets and be done with the farce. It's the 21st century and we still have Kings and Queens. Come on.

"300 plus years of medieval renaissance faire cosplay" as I replied to a British wanker on a different board.

If we have a referendum down here, I'll vote Republic.

bUT whAT shaLL REPlaCE it??@!??!1 the monarchists will cry. Well, for starters - a system that doesn't have some unelected toff as Head of State who inherited the position via birthright. Do we actually have to argue this point?

As I watched Elizabeth's funeral procession, the commentators spoke of the continuity and stability she provided the country & Commonweath over the decades. Now seriously, most people over those decades spent most days the same way - out of bed, boil the jug, read the paper and scratch their arse before putting 8-10+ hours in on the job. Did they pull out of the driveway / head to the bus station on a frosty morning, thanking their lucky stars Queen E watched over them from the comfort of her toasty bedroom at Balmoral as an army of servants saw to her every need?

I would think the farce of the past few decades ought to be enough to make any royalist say enough.

Harry has never actually spoken to Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson. "We've been in the same room hundreds of times, I'd just always pretend I didn't see her!" he laughed.
