Morrhigan watches The Young and the Restless

Hambil

I AM A GOLDEN GOD
So I figure she can post daily/weekly/whatever updates in here so we can keep track of Jack, The Mustache, Nikki, etc...

My older sister has been hooked on Y&R for 20 years. No one can talk to, call or email her between 12:30 and 1:30 every day.

I think it's the real reason she's a telecommuter.

I started watching when Keith Hamilton Cobb joined the show. And I got hooked. Soap operas are TV crank.

Me too! And I still keep it on for background noise while I'm working.

I don't pay attention to much right now, except the Nick/Phyllis affair. I thought that affair was a great little piece of story telling. They began as enemies and .... well, it had a nice evolution.

Is Y&R the one with the young blond guy (who played R.J. on Buffy S7) whose character becomes a pop star? Or is that Guiding Light?

I have absolutely no clue. I think there was a blond guy who had a story line about him becoming a singer, but now that character is a private detective. Come to think of it, I don't know why he isn't a singer any more. I've never watched Guiding Light, so can't say if it is someone on that show or not. Don't they all have a blond guy who wants to be a star? ;)

Yeah, it's Y&R: Thad Luckinbill

He played a guy who had a magic jacket that made every girl in Sunnydale fall in love with him in one S7 Buffy ep. That's how I first, erm, noticed him. ;)

They all turn into private detectives at some point.

Oh yeah, I remember that Buffy episode.

And yeah that's the actor's name on Y&R. The character's name is JT.

Whoa, he's like 31 years old and still playing like a 20 year old or something. WOW, the miracle of acting.

My mom's been a fan of that show since it premiered.

My main soap is Y&R's sister series "The Bold and The Beautiful." Or was until it took a Rick Berman-eque trip into the gutter this past year. :rwmad:   :gagh:

Hey, maybe I will watch Y&R now, lol.

I think so, too! Plus, I just like Phyllis. She's hilarious. I wish Nick would stop trying to hold on to his bitch of a wife, Sharon, and just go be with Phyllis. And is Sharon being a total hypocrite, or what?

I should have known we'd see eye to eye on this one. ;)

Hypocrite barely describes that stringy haired Sharon. I say off with her head. LOL

And I agree, Phyllis is hysterically funny and her scenes are always good. Michelle Stafford is really a talented actress.

I hope the baby is Nick's and they live happily ever after having sex, taking over corporate empires, and having all kinds of soap drama. :)
