Movies you'll stop and watch on TV...

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
...even though you've seen them like a thousand times. We all have 'em. In no particular order, here are mine:

Die Hard
Die Hard 2
Revenge of the Nerds
Necessary Roughness
Caddyshack
Weird Science
Sixteen Candles
Edward Scissorhands
Raiders of the Lost Ark & Temple of Doom
The Blues Brothers
Raising Arizona
Aliens
Terminator & T-2
Any of the Star Wars OT
Princess Bride

I'm sure I'll think of others. What are yours?

All Star Wars, LOTR, Star Trek. ZOOLANDER.

Too many to list. But my short attention span causes me to flip to other channels anyway.

Forgot:

Back to School ("You know what you almost never see? Hecklers in Diving.")
Pulp Fiction
Trading Places
Karate Kid II

Anything with MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG.

^^So, Eurotrip, then.

For a while I stopped and watched Transformers whenever it was on, I think I'm over it now!

Admitting it is the first step to recovery.

Until Transformers 2 comes out!

Unless Megan Fox shows full beaver, including pink, there's no way in hell I'll watch Transformers 2.

Princess Bride.
Ye gods, must be up to a thousand times indeed.

Um, it seems someone hasn't heard of a little film called "Ice Princess".

Heh, yeah, now what?

Smugdog.

Harriet the spy, PAEDO! Pre-teen MT feet in that one.

I've never actually seen Harriet the Spy (it would be too creepy).

Nah, it's a fun movie, you can watch it with your kids, just ingore them when they ask about your erection.

Ang Lee's The Ice Storm was on Fox Movie Channel tonight. I always seem to find that movie when it's about 2/3 over, as I did tonight; I watched it till the end. The last half hour is just amazing.

Total Recall
The Fifth Element
Airplane (and to a lesser extent; Airplane 2)
Deep Impact
The Matrix (but not the sequels)
Face/Off
Most 007 movies

Shawnshank Redemption is on tv whether you want to watch it or not. It just appears out of nowhere when you think you're watching something else.

I've NEVER seen Shawshank Redemption. Read the short story by S. King, though.

I watch a lot of classics on Film 4. A Man For All Seasons was the last. Most of the blockbusters I have on DVD - if I spot it in the listings, and I feel I'm in the mood, I'll stuff the DVD in.

I watched Predator 2 last night, and still think it's as good (if not better in some places) that the first.
