MP3

NaughtE

Marry me, $M Gayboy!
Yes - I know I am behind the times. Just got an MP3 player thingy a few months ago. It is a great little thing - love it when I go out for walks in the park and to the gym.

I recall burning a lot of my music to cds to keep at work and in the car. Now I'm putting all this music on the MP3 player.

What is the newest technology I'm going to have to transfer my music collection to?

What are you listening to? And, what device are you listening to it from?

I still have my music on thousands of CDs which I'll never throw away, but last time my PC blew up I had to manually rip every single CD onto the new computer.

I'm about to buy an external hard drive with a few hundred gigabytes to store my music and other important stuff so that will never happen again.

Way back when, I transferred most of my music collection to CD. I made CD sets to keep in the car and at work. Saves the wear and tear on the originals plus don't wind up having them split all over the place.

I like the MP3 player as it is small enough to keep in my pocket and I can plug it into the port in the car to play using the car speakers. My new PC has terrabytes of space :). Still, I'd like to learn about putting all my media - movies, books, music, photos, etc. - into a digital format stored on an offsite location accessible via internet for portability and to pare down my stuff.

Yeah - I remember my first PC - megabytes.
Then - thought I'd really moved up when I got gigabytes.
Now - terrabytes!
What is after that?

Interesting. Don't know Hellman other than I've seen you mention that name here. Also, got it at a random site with no copyright protection notice of any kind. I'll change it. Was fun while I was taking the class but I'm done with the class.
