..Radio personality Fred Imus dies in Arizona at 69

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A spokesman for Don Imus says that the controversial radio personality's brother, Fred Imus, has died in his Tucson home. He was 69

Fred Imus co-hosted his own satellite radio show on Sirius XM called "Fred's Trailer Park Bash" and wrote country songs.

Matthew Hiltzik, a spokesman for Don Imus, said Tuesday that Fred Imus was found dead inside his trailer in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday. He says it's believed that he died in his sleep.

Hiltzik says the Imus brothers were "very close" and that Fred Imus often was a guest on his brother's own radio show, ending each call with, "I love you."

Fred Imus, who was twice divorced, is survived by three sons.

Fred didn't call those women basketball players "nappy headed hoes" -- Don did.

Well, and even he was only chiming in to something one of his booth monkeys said. He called them "some rough lookin' women", one of the booth monkeys goes, "Some hardcore hoes!" and he added "Some nappy-headed hoes." Then the booth monkey went on to compare the horrific-looking women to the other team of (apparently) cute girls, alluding to how it looked like what he expected to see in a Spike Lee film, "like the Jigaboos versus the Wannabes."

Yeah, Imus should have chastised his booth monkey or at least kept his mouth shut, but it's not as if he grabbed the mic in both hands and started dancing around the studio yelling, "Niggerrrrrrrrrrrz!" into it.
