Truth is, unemployment is not only a breeze, but a blessing. Been selling nicely on ebay again with the free time. A thousand dollars last week, for starters. It's been nice having this whole month off, and now that the tourist season is starting up, looks like the concierge business is going to work privately. The website is set up, 42 hotels, 47 restaurants and 33 shops have signed up, so I've got LOTS of seed money.
That, a nice unemployment check every friday, coupled with the VERY nice settlement that the hotel offered me (can you imagine? They didn't even question the little asshole that ratted me out, so they "don't know who he is"), and I'm set for the summer. I don't get why they wanted to pay me this way instead of having me work for them instead of against them, but serendipity and all that.
