depends on the student; the broad base is English as a second language, and that's what I teach the adults who work during the day, but who want to upgrade their English at night school. But I have students who have trouble with homework if they're school / highschool kids, and college course curriculum if they're in college. I really admire their moxy: that stuff's challenging enough when it's in your own language.
