Unluckiest Charm in the Box
My van, a 1995 Chevy G20 Conversion van, has died. The Transmission has locked up on me again (2nd one in a year). First was the origional 15 yr old one. The second was a junk yard replacement.
The Body is rusting out and the suspension is all but shot. The interior lighting in the rear passenger compartment no longer works and the windows work intermittedly. The door locks are shot and need replacing as well.
This van to me, is what the Millenium Falcon was to Han Solo. After driving her for over 5 years, I fear its time to put her down and replace her with something more modern. Whats so hard about letting her go is that the engine runs fantastic. The body is whats falling apart. I can take her on the expresssway to "make the jump to light speed" and the engine will almost tear away from the body.
Letting her go is like putting down an old beloved pet..but I fear that her time has finally come.
