New Badlands Etiquette
Now that TK Badlands has become boring and neutered under this new age of a kinder and gentler Minefield Lite style posting, what are the expectations here?

What content of threads and posts are acceptable?
What should our attitudes toward the board and each other be?
Is giving red karma still allowed?
What and who should never be mentioned?
etc etc

I feel it is the duty of the powers that be to set up clear guides and sticky the locked thread entailing proper behavior in this new Badlands.
 
Kitty, would you mind clarifying this for me? Half the time, I see members of your faction complaining about the dictatorship and infighting, and the other half, I see you invoking the "Kinder, Gentler Badlands" meme. Which is it?

Anything goes except scat and child porn. Nazis will be treated with extreme prejudice.

People on 'my' side? The only tears about hostility and infighting I've seen have been from people within your flock, besides certain comments about the fake Loktar / Picke feud.

Good. There's a few duals like Thor that shouldn't be in the green. I'll get right on that.

Also, Hummus, although you were a bit too dense to realize why I negged you the first time around, I'll explain it now.
You were greening duals I put into the red. If you continue to do so, I'll put you at -2,000 overnight. Keep that in mind. If was never personal for me to neg you, and it wouldn't be if I do it again.

Good times...

It started out fake, then got real, then became fake again when I ended it. It took longer than expected but it achieved its goal of annoying Pickle and Yub and getting under their skin.
 
You succeeded. Yub and you are neutral terms now. Perhaps it's time to extend the olive branch elsewhere?

Expectations? I hate that word. I come here to get away from other people's expectations of me.

What content of threads and posts are acceptable?

Anything. However I would caution someone trying to have a deep political conversation in this area; it is more reserved for light hearted discussion and spamming. Topics range from day to day activities to sex and relationships, music, television-though mostly retro and rants.


What should our attitudes toward the board and each other be?

I would never want to dictate how another person should act. Individuality has always been welcomed here. If we all acted the same it would be rather boring.

Dude...poster, not post. The Badlands is Crony Capital, so as long as you're one of the regulars or at least half-way amusing, post whatever you want. Of course I reserve the right to change, merge, or delete anything I deem inappropriate or plain boring. Just because I can, and you don't.

Your attitudes should always be: what makes Ily happy and/or hot.
My attitude will always be: whatever I want.
The board doesn't give a flying fuck about attitudes, and you should be extremely thankful for that.

Can't say it does in my case. 99%* of my TK facebook account friends are from.... wait for it.... TK.
