"Why are you talking to me man?" KIRK WOULD NEVER SAY THAT.

McCoy has impressed me...up until now. He sounds stupid in the ad.

SAN FRANSISCO, WOW.

Uhura!

This movie's going to suck, man!

This ANGSTY KIRK thing will get real old real fast.

The Enterprise looks pretty good.

The sounds not working in the studio I'm in, so didn't hear what McCoy said. The ad looks cool, though.

I don't think McCoy will be alright, just that one line delivery was a bit off (but it's a frantically edited ad anyway.)

I wasn't expecting any new material, so it was cool to get those few glimpses. San Fran looks horrible compared to how it is in TNG and even Enterprise. Those skyscrapers totally ruin the natural beauty of that area. That's not necessarily a complaint about the movie though.

The bit with the Enterprise firing phasers is quite nice. Looks very similar to the TWoK style of phasery bolts.

I don't think the movie is going to be a train wreck and I think there are definitely going to be positives. I just hope they outweigh my "percieved" negatives.

I'm still willing to keep an open mind. Not too long now anyway.

Paramount pulled it

Damn. Should be up "officially" soon enough anyway.

They had a trailer that played during the Superbowel.

meh.

Yeah, that's what this was.

I enjoyed it. I see what people say about then retconning the characters, but apart from that it looks like a neat movie.

I'm sure it'll be enjoyable. And picking it apart on the internet afterwards will be a kind of enjoyable too.

that's where you get your money's worth, imho.

AT LEAST BRAGA ISN'T INVOLVED.

WTF, NO SHATNER?!?!?

Isn't Braga involved in a current show? I wanna say 24, but it's too good for him to be involved...imdb, here I come!

He was involved in a show ironically called Threshold, IIRC.

Data was in it.

I think Braga is involved in 24 now, he probably writes the bits where Jack gets from one side of washington to the other in one 3 minute commercial break.

Yeah, it's 24. I noticed it during last night's episode.
