Nintendo DS game recommendations?

I got a DS (obviously or I wouldn't be starting this thread, asshole), the only game I have so far is New Super Maro Brothers. It's good, but obviously isn't going to last very long so recommend something else if you are knowledgable on the subject and STAY OUT OF MY WAY if you're not.

If you never played Mario Kart 64 -- or if you were a huge fan -- I thought the port of it to DS was pretty sweet (even if the touch screen is basically a nonfactor).

Is Mario Kart DS just a port of the N64 game, then? I won't get it then, meh.

No, it has different tracks, and online play as well.
