We're opening the show with Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms in a non-title match.
Hardy won with a twist of fate. Very good opener. Tons of near falls. Crowd wasn't hot at the start, but they got the crowd very much into it. They kind of gave it away when JBL pushed that Helms had never lost on PPV this year.
Booker asked William Regal for his help in the main event. Regal agreed to do anything. Booker told him he needed to tell Finlay to allow him to win and be his ally. Regal vowed not to let our king down. Sharmell told our kind that all will be well.
London & Kendrick vs. Stevens & James is up now with the tag titles at stake. Ashley is in London & Kendrick's corner to offset Michelle McCool. This was even better than the opener. It was one of those bouts where everything clicked. London & Kendrick did a lot of flying, several dives and everything hit perfectly. Ashley pounced on McCool on the floor. Kendrick gave James a sliced bread #2 and and London jumped off Kendrick's back as he went over, doing a shooting star on James for the pin.
Regal was searching for Finlay, but he found Vito jumping rope in a dress. More panty shots of Vito and Regal was repulsed, then walked into a vendor and he slipped into a bunch of food. He was in suit and got ketchup and mustard all over him as he fell in his food, I guess doing his best impression of a younger Shawn Michaels. Regal did his usual great job.
Teddy Long gave a birthday present for Miz's 26th birthday. Does that mean Miz & Puder have the same birthday? Miz was so annoying it was at a new level. Teddy said Miz has been hitting on a diva. Layla came out. JBL said he thought Miz would have liked London or Kendrick more. Layla gave Miz a lap dance. Then she blindfolded him and Christopher DeJoseph (the fat stripper they now call Big Dick Johnson) started dancing. Miz was grabbing Christopher's man breasts when Layla undid his blindfold. He was grossed out. Like seeing that guy in a banana hammock wasn't gross enough without him giving Miz a lap dance. For what it's worth, it didn't appear anyone in the crowd was laughing.
MVP vs. Marty Garner. It was designed to get heat, but for some reason on MVP and not on the promotion. MVP won a quick squash with the play of the day. The idea seems to be that he's a guy who represents athletes who get big contracts and don't produce.
Regal was in the shower and saw Vito and ran. Teddy added a match for Regal. A bunch of jokes about Regal having a small dick.
Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy is up now. Undertaker lost via DQ for hitting Kennedy with a belt shot, although Kennedy brought the belt in. Undertaker gave Kennedy a tombstone piledriver after. Long match. Boring most of the way but they gave Kennedy a lot of offense. Maybe that was why it was boring. The idea was to prove Kennedy was tough and could hang. Undertaker gave Charles Robinson a tombstone. Take that for not drinking.
Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero is next up. The entire match was brawling outside the ring. Mysterio did a 619 off the rail near the steps going into the risers section. He then jumped off the rail with a crossbody with Chavo falling into the penalty box of the hockey set-up. Another good brawl.
William Regal vs. Chris Benoit is the surprise match. They only had 12:00 but it was outstanding. Benoit was bleeding from the forehead and mouth and Regal from the head as well as they busted each other open with head-butts. Benoit won with a head-butt. Match didn't really have a lot of heat, but geez was this a great wrestling match.
Booker was mad at Regal because he never found Finlay. Finlay showed up and said he was there to win the title. Booker took it out on Regal, saying he was useless and called him a maggot and slapped the hell out of Regal. Regal then punched Booker and decked him.
Booker retained the title in the four way. Another really good match. Finlay carried it but everyone looked good in the match. Batista got cut in the back of the head. I'm not sure where it happened. Finish saw Batista give all three spinebusters. Lashley then speared the hell out of Batista and Booker crawled on Finlay and got the pin.
