Well, at least he knew Paul McCartney had a band before "Wings", unlike some people around here. :D

Most people don't even know about Wings anymore, which is a crying shame.

No I haven't. He never posted a link to it here. I've been to his myspace...is that the same thing?

I hated Wings. Drove me nuts. Can you imagine, being a total Beatles freak, and having them all morph into that? They never made that sound again individually.

george Martin showed that definitively with this new "LOVE" release. Damn...they kept EVERY TRACK!

True... John's bitterness needed Paul's sweetness, and vice versa. I still have a soft spot for some of the solo recordings by both, though.

What is the movie where tehy make fun of Linda's tambourine playing in Wings? They actually isolate the track. It's really funny.

It's an incidental part of a scene in a movie. What's this about the tape?
http://www.vintagerock.com/linda.html

Yes, we could make lots of jokes about Linda's musical disabilities. There was a tape floating around a few years back that exquisitely sustained this notion. It was a soundboard recording of Paul singing "Hey Jude," but Linda's backing vocal was isolated and up-front. Needless to say, it became a running gag among morning DJ's looking for laughs. Only Paul and Linda weren't laughing.

That's funny!

This was somthing different. A group of people are hanging out listening to a wings song, and they isolate the tambourine, which is ridiculously off beat. Must have been a reference to the tape you mentioned.
